After the Facebook’s acquisition of Whatsapp, we have seen some interesting changes. The $1 per year fee is removed, and recently the app is updated with end-to-end encryption. Recently we had exclusively covered about the Call Back and Voice Mail features that will be included in the upcoming updates. In December last year, the alleged screenshots of the Whatsapp video call are found online. While everyone expected the company to make the video call feature public in 2016, nothing had happened in this first four months.
Now we got some screenshots of the beta version of Whatsapp for iOS, where we can find the “Video Call” icon on top right of the chat screen. Earlier we can find only the voice call option along with profile picture, and now the video call icon is added beside them. While the current beta app version available for iOS devices is 2.16.3.523, and thevideo call feature is expected to roll out in next few days with the version 2.16.3.525. To test the beta version of Whatsapp, you need to have a jailbroken iPhone with Cydia installed.Hopefully we all will get this feature in the Next update.
