Running the YouTube video in background is the major questions raised on internet today. After some research we are here with simple trick.
One can run the YouTube video in background with YouTube RED Subscription but there is a limitation that it is not available in many regions.
The user can use any third party app like Free music for YouTube: Stream but user's have carved for solution without installing any app.
YouTube has also introduced PiP mode for YouTube and some of its app but it is only available for Android devices which are running Android 8.0 and higher. So other android devices will not have this feature.
How to run YouTube videos in background on Android and iOS?(No App Required)
You can take the advantage to use youtube in background if you use Chrome Browser or any other browser that has Desktop site option As chrome is pre-installed in almost every device.For Chrome use the steps below:-
- Open YouTube.com in Chrome on your Android or iOS.
- Tap on the three dots on the top right corner to open the menu
- Tap on the Desktop site after tapping on the site will be reloaded in its PC version
- Now play any video you want and press Menu or Home button to put the app in background.
- As expected the video will be stopped. Now pull down the notification bar where you see the play button just click on it and done the video will be start playing in the background.
- For iOS swipe-up the toggle settings where you will se a small play button and click on it and done the video will be resumed in the background. You can see yhe screen shots below👇.
The best is that you can also use it while the device is locked. So no more installing third party apps and fill up your precious space available in the device.
