Docoss X1: Legit Rs 888 Smartphone?

The smartphone industry is growing rapidly, and the devices are getting cheaper every year. It's not just about the big companies like Apple, Samsung, HTC, etc.
Chinese manufacturers as well as Indian domestic manufacturers have been making affordable products.
A few months ago, a Noida based company Ringing Bells made its position in the news by announcing its new smartphone 'Freedom 251' priced at Rs 251 as the name suggests. But it turns out that it was probably a scam and they're in trouble for legal issues.
After some time, in May 2016, came another domestic company which announced a smartphone for Rs 888. A Jaipur based company named Docoss was responsible behind it with the smartphone 'X1'.
It promises impressive specifications, but after the Freedom 251 controversy, it is quite a risk, not a huge one but still is.

Should you buy it?
It turns out that this time it isn't quite a scam. The bookings started at April 27, and closed at April 29.
What is surprising is that it offers Cash on delivery for buying this device. However it is still not advisable to place an order until more information about the company is revealed.

How to buy it?
The booking of this device is not quite complicated. Just an SMS with the buyers name, address and pin code to 9616003322 does the job. Or simply placing the order at their website ( www.docoss.com).

There have been unboxing videos about this device on YouTube. It seems to be offering more than the price.

Specifications:
With the offerings, come the specifications. The Docoss X1 is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core Cortex A7 processor with 1 GB of RAM. It has 4GB of internal storage and supports expandable storage upto 32 Gigabytes. It is equipped with a 1300mAh battery.
It features a 4 inch display with a resolution of 400x480p. It supports 3G, and dual-SIM connectivity too. As for the operating system, it is Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Well for now, I would consider waiting for a while before ordering this device. If not a scam it should turn out to be a really good device. But so much for a mere price of Rs 888? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.
